Eyes & Ears at The Pictures

Event Production

Eyes & Ears at The Pictures, Tuesday 19 September

Our latest screening at The Pictures was done a little differently. This time, we curated ten our favourite shorts and put these on the big screen. The selection included everything from animations and short films to docs and music videos, all centred around Eyes & Ears – music on film.

For the event, we took over iconic music and arts venue, the Bussey Building, in Peckham. It was a local affair, with Rye Wax bringing the DJ’s and JD’s Kitchen serving up their delicious food for guests. Island Records sponsored the event; with their Session IPA and Jamaica Porter going down a treat.

We also partnered with Everyman Cinema and War Child UK, to support the upcoming inaugural War Child Film Festival.

There was an audience vote for Best Short Fim of the night, with incredibly close results. The three films taking top spots were:

1. Territory by The Blaze
2. Übermensch by Jesper Dalgaard
3. Richard Twice by Matthew Salton

The Pictures is a regular series of pop-up screening events, created by elevenfiftyfive to celebrate amazing films, awesome initiatives and stand out venues. These free events are for those interested in exciting, up and coming or cutting-edge films and inspiring stories.

Eyes & Ears is the 8th instalment of The Pictures, previous screenings have included Oscar-winning film Moonlight, Oscar-winning documentary Twenty Feet from StardomWhat We Do In The Shadows and Eden
